By BBN Staff: Opposition leader, John Briceño, is currently having a press conference in Belize City, addressing the nation on current events and presenting the People’s United Party (PUP) policy proposals as it seeks a mandate from the public to lead the country following the upcoming general elections.

Briceño spoke extensively on apparent and evident corruption in government and said the time is now to make a change.

Among other policy measures, he proposed that substantive ministers be removed from the Public Accounts Committee and the implementation of campaign finance laws.
