Man detained after being busted in 10-year-old girl’s room

By BBN Staff: A man is detained after he was busted in the room of a ten-year-old girl.

Due to the nature of the suspected offense, we are unable to release the identity of the man or the child.

The child’s mother told police that just before 6 o’clock on Saturday morning she left her Roaring Creek home to go to a nearby shop.

When she returned she saw the man in the child’s room. The child was sleeping and her blanket was taken off.

The woman reportedly raised alarm and the man fled the house.

He has since been detained by police pending investigation.

Police have scheduled a medical examination to determine if the child had been abused.
