Corporal Reynaldo Choco laid to rest

By BBN Staff: Belize Defense Force (BDF) Corporal Reynaldo Choco, one of four officers that lost their lives in a tragic helicoper crash last week, was laid to rest yesterday.

Choco was buried with full military honors in Big Falls, Toledo. His funeral  was attended by family, friends, brothers and sisters at arms in the force, and Minister of National Security Michael Peyrefitte, who presented the Belize standard to Choco’s widow.

Soldiers carried his casket to his final resting place and he was sent off with a gun salute paying homage to his years of service to his country and his people.

Corporal Yassir Mendez was laid to rest on Tuesday, while funeral services for Major Adran “50 Cal” Ramirez, are scheduled for this afternoon in Corozal, while Major Radford Baizar’s funeral is scheduled to be held in Belize City tomorrow. All Belize flags will be flown at half mast until the last soldier is laid to rest.
