The Silver Lining in the Coronavirus cloud

By Delroy Cuthkelvin: Maybe it’s just me, or perhaps I speak for the majority of Belizeans when I say that, even in the face of such a daunting global crisis and national threat, Covid-19, it was a pleasing and inspiring moment to see the leaders of our two rival mass parties, who just over a week ago were exchanging insults in the National Assembly, sitting side by side in unity for the sake of the nation and its people, even sharing a few laughs, which is certainly good for the soul in these trying times.

Besides the essential information shared on our national response to the preoccupation of the hour, Coronavirus, that is my main takeaway from today’s joint news conference.

Every cloud has a silver lining; and, in this Coronavirus cloud, if nothing else, that’s the silver lining that I see.

God Bless Belize!
