By BBN Staff: Our newsroom has confirmed that the newly built Roaring Creek Bridge has been closed to regular and non-essential traffic.
The closure took effect this morning after two more persons from San Ignacio, Cayo District tested positive for Covid-19.
This measure was instituted as some Belizeans are moving around as if everything is normal, and in so doing are still not respecting the travel restrictions put in place by government.
Only persons designated as essential staff would be allowed to pass.
Anyone caught trying to cross the bridge who is not an essential worker or who does not have a valid reason will be arrested and charged for breaching the quarantine regulations.
