By BBN Staff: The Supplies Control Unit of the Belize Bureau of Standards said today that it is aware of reports of shortages of premium fuel at several gas stations countrywide.
The unit advises that due to the price change in premium, there was an anticipated spike in demand for premium but it has been dealt with a replenishment of stock.
The unit reminds all fuel dealers that they are obliged to supply inventoried price-controlled commodities to consumers.
Any retailer declining to sell premium is urged to desist.
Customers are advised to be vigilant and report any issues.
