Belize monitoring 16 active cases of COVID-19

By BBN Staff: Belizean health officials are monitoring 16 active cases of COVID-19.

Yesterday, Belize registered its 40th case. The patient is an elderly woman who came in through the repatriation process.

The patient has underlying heart conditions. She is at home in quarantine due to her condition. The person is asymptomatic and remains under home quarantine.

The Ministry of Health says that the samples done yesterday include contact tracing done in Blue Creek, all returned negative.

Of the active cases, 9 are females and 7 are males.

The country also saw one recovered patient today.
