17 new cases of COVID-19 and 31 recoveries today

By BBN Staff: In its COVID-19 update released a short while ago, the Ministry of Health reports that 17 new cases of COVID-19 were detected today after processing a total of 159 samples.

The distribution of the 17 new cases are as follows:

Corozal = 1 (Corozal Town)

Orange Walk = 13 (3 San Lazaro, 2 Trinidad, 2 Carmelita, 2 Trial Farm, 3 OW town, 1 Yo Creek)

Belize = 3 (2 Caye Caulker, 1 San Pedro).

There were 31 recovered cases today, bringing the total recovered cases to 1,165 or 63.8% of total identified cases.

Active cases are now 636 representing 34.8% of the total identified cases.
