Motorcycle collision on Southern Highway leaves one dead

By Aaron  Humes: Police are investigating a fatal traffic collision on the Southern Highway on Saturday evening.

Bella Vista, Toledo District resident, and farm supervisor Ruben Antonio Torres Cuellar told police that he was on his way home from his workplace in Bladen Village when around 6:05 p.m. between Miles 45 and 46, he encountered a Hispanic man who staggered into his lane, resulting in a collision despite him applying brakes.

The so-far unidentified man sustained a large cut wound under the chest area on the right side, a small cut wound over the left eye, and apparently died on the spot. Torres Cuellar himself sustained injuries to the left hand, abrasion to the left knee, and sprained left foot. He has been served with a notice of intended prosecution.
