Gas station attendant shot trying to foil a robbery

By BBN Staff: A gas station pump attendant is receiving medical treatment after being shot trying to foil a robbery last night.

Adrian Perrera, 26, was at his pump at the Puma Gas Station on Freetown Road just before 6:30 p.m. when a man in an orange hoodie approached him pointing a gun and demanding money.

Perrera refused to hand over his sales and began struggling with the robber but was eventually thrown to the ground. The robber shot Perrera once to the body before making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Perrera was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) for treatment.

The incident is under police investigation.
