By Aaron Humes: As Belize proceeded with General Elections today amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the Director of Health Services reported two more patient deaths at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital COVID-19 ward.

This lifts the total number of deaths from the disease to 75, of which 52 are male, more than twice the number of deaths of females at 23.

One of the deceased is in his forties and hails from Corozal. The other is in his late 70s and is from the Belize District.

The country’s case fatality rate stands at 1.66%.
