By BBN Staff: The Benque Viejo Town Council and Mayor Marconi Sosa have extended congratulations to Jorge Espat for his victory in the polls on Wednesday.

“We look forward to work hand in hand with him, as the new Area Representative for Cayo West. Together we can and will continue to develop and bring progress to Benque Viejo and Cayo West. Now, let us leave all indifferences and party politics aside and unite and work together to bring progress and development to Cayo West,” the council said.

Espat won the division by defeating long time UDP Area representative Erwin Contreras.
