By BBN Staff: Today, the office of the Prime Minister announced the appointment of Dr. Gilroy Middleton as the Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Immigration.

Prime Minister John Briceño will advise the Governor-General Colville Young GCMG MBE, pursuant to section 107 of the Constitution, to appoint Dr. Gilroy Middleton to be the Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Immigration. 

Dr. Middleton has both public sector and private sector work experience and is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Management & Social Science at the University of Belize.

The new CEO will join Eamon Courtenay, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Immigration, and Ramon Cervantes, Minister of State in the Ministry.
