Belize’s passport ranks 10th strongest in the Caribbean

By BBN Staff: Belize’s passport is the 10th strongest passport in the Caribbean on the Henley and Partners Passport Index, a tool that measures how many territories passport holders from ranked countries can travel to without needing a visa.

The recently released 2021 passport Index, ranks Belize at #54 out of a total 107 countries, with Visa-free access to 101 countries.

According to the regional media outlet Loop, the top 10 Caribbean countries on the list include:

1.Barbados- ranking at #23 with visa-free access to 161 destinations;

2. St Kitts and Nevis –ranking at #25 with visa-free access to 156 destinations;

3. Bahamas – ranking at #26 with visa-free access to 155 destinations;

4. Antigua and Barbuda – ranking at #28 with visa-free access to 151 destinations;

5. Trinidad and Tobago- ranking at #29 with visa-free access to 150 destinations;

6. St Vincent and the Grenadines- ranking at #30 with visa-free access to 148 destinations;

7. St Lucia- ranking at #31 with visa-free access to 146 destinations;

8. Grenada- ranking at #33 with visa-free access to 144 destinations;

9. Dominica- ranking at #34 with visa-free access to 143 destinations;

Belize also tied with South Africa for the 54th slot overall. Japan, Singapore, and Germany held on to the top 3 spots respectively.
