By BBN Staff: Today, Belize stands at the brink of having no patients hospitalized due to COVID-19.
The Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) notes that there are only two patients hospitalized due to the virus who are receiving critical care in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Having no patients hospitalized due to the virus would be a first for 2021.
Meanwhile, the ministry’s latest national update also shows that 21 patients have managed to recover from the virus, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 11,916 and the recovery rate to 96.7
Notably, there were no new deaths connected to COVID-19.
The ministry currently has 229 suspected cases under investigation.
