By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize Head Coach Dale Pelayo intends to scout Belize’s next two rivals, Turks and Caicos Islands and Nicaragua, who are playing in the Dominican Republic today.
Turks and Caicos are hosting Nicaragua at 2:30 p.m. today at the Estadio Panamericano in San Cristobal just outside Santo Domingo.
Belize plays against TCI on Tuesday at the same venue and later in June the Belize Jaguars will be visiting Nicaragua.
So, today is the perfect moment for Pelayo and assistant coach Marvin Ottley to check out the opposition.
Fans are not allowed at sporting events in the Dominican Republic said Pelayo, so he is going through the Concacaf channels to be admitted at the stadium to witness the match.
The Belize Jaguars have their first training session in Santo Domingo scheduled for 5:30 this evening, so the rest of the technical staff, who arrived already at Santo Domingo, will take care of the beginning of the session until Pelayo and Ottley get there after the match.
Pelayo said no one is injured after the Haiti match and are in full recovery.
