Minister of Health and Wellness: 32% of teachers have been vaccinated

By Zoila Palma: Minister of Health and Wellness, Michel Chebat said on Friday during an interview with 7News Belize that just about 32% of educators have received their first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.

In addition, only about 13% of police officers have been vaccinated.

Chebat says that vaccination is not mandatory and the Government continues its extensive vaccination campaign encouraging everyone to get vaccinated.

Chebat urged teachers to get vaccinated as the Ministry continues to work with the Ministry of Education in the re-opening of classes.
