Herwin Godoy’s body recovered from the Belize River

By Benjamin Flowers: After two days of searching, the family of 33-year-old Herwin Godoy has received some much-needed closure, when his body was recovered from the river in Grace Bank this morning.

Godoy and his family were swimming in the river on Sunday, April 18, when he went under around 4:00 p.m. and never resurfaced.

The family received the help of the Belize Coast Guard, divers, and other concerned individuals with canoes who had been searching since Sunday.
