Posted: Thursday, May 20, 2021. 3:38 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: Minister of Public Service, Constitutional and Political Reform, Henry Charles Usher said that in unity, Belize and its people will bring economic recovery to our country.

With relation to the ongoing strike by the unions, Minister Usher said that “they are delaying the inevitable.”

Minister Usher said that the ongoing strike is delaying the beginning of the economic recovery process for Belize.

“The mismanagement and corruption for 13 years has caused this situation and now we must come together and work to bring economic recovery to our country. Hard decisions had to be made and this government with Prime Minister John Briceno are committed to good governance and to bring economic recovery to our nation and people,” Usher said.

In a message to the unions, he called for unity so that together, there will be a start of Belize’s economic recovery.
