By Zoila Palma: The Caribbean Federation of Police Welfare Associations issued a statement saying that in acknowledgment of the ruling from the Belize Supreme Court involving Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams and former chairman Cpl. Eldon Arzu, it is delighted that the work and interest of welfare has prevailed.
The federation says that it is comforted in reaching out to Compol Williams to find an amicable solution as the persistence of the situation.
“We recognized that the volatile and distasteful situation posed a hindrance to welfare,” the federation said.
They further urge Compol Williams not to extend the process as the welfare of the noble men and women which he leads matter most.
The federation says that it stands ready and willing to engage in the reconciliation, healing and re-building process.
