Another Government Ministry announces changes to opening hours

By Benjamin Flowers: Today, the Ministry of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labour and Local Government, issued a notice to the public that it will be adjusting its opening hours.

The Ministry said that, effective June 14, 2021, all of the ministry’s offices countrywide will be open from Monday to Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Fridays.

The Vital Statistics Unit issued a similar notice earlier today. The departments are all working reduced hours as a part of the undertakings that the Government of Belize has made to reduce the working hours of public officers, after implementing the 10 percent salary cut and three-year increment freeze.
