Police in Peten bust their own with white-tailed deer meat

By Zoila Palma: The Public Ministry in Guatemala is investigating officers of the National Civil police who were busted with white-tailed deer meat in their patrol vehicle.

The officers were found with the meat during a search by Environmental Crimes officers.

The ministry seized the meat as the investigation continues.

According to a report from Telenoticias Peten, the commissioner had denied that agents would transport illegal wildlife meat.
