COMPOL encourages frontline workers to get vaccinated

Posted: Thursday, June 17, 2021. 6:29 pm CST.

By Zoila Palma: Today, the Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams got his first shot of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines.

COMPOL Williams thanked the doctors and nurses from Ministry of Health and Wellness for their courtesy and professionalism in administering the vaccine.

COMPOL Williams also encouraged other frontline workers to get vaccinated to protect themselves.

“As a front line worker, I am happy to have taken this first step on protecting myself as I work towards protecting the wider public. Everyday, we interact with people from all different walks of life not knowing their health conditions causing us to be exposed to contracting the virus. I therefore call upon all front line workers and Belizeans in a whole to protect yourselves by taking the vaccine. Protecting yourselves is protecting your family and protecting your family is protecting our nation,” Williams said.

As for his tattoo, the COMPOL said he tried to ink a cross when he was 9 years old and instead got a crossword which he did take a beating for.
