Public hospital fees soon to be standardized

By Zoila Palma: Cabinet has approved a request by the Ministry of Health and Wellness to increase efficiency of revenue collection at government-run hospitals by standardizing fees across the public health facilities.

In addition, the ministry proposes to implement a social program for low-income earners and the indigent population.

Cabinet also approved the promotion of 37 essential nurse specialists in all categories.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness has also launched a scholarship initiative to grant 50 Scholarships for persons wishing to study nursing.
