BWS closes Belmopan Office to sanitize it after employee tests positive for COVID-19

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize Water Services (BWS) announced on Tuesday that it is closing its Belmopan Office on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, until further notice after one of its employees tested positive for COVID-19.

BWS said it will keep customers updated on its re-opening, but that in the meantime they can make payments through the online banking services.

Customer services requests may be sent by WhatsApp, email, or Facebook.

BWS said the company remains “vigilant and proactive in our efforts to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our country. We will continue to do everything possible to ensure both our staff and customers are safe.”

BWS said that they continue adhering to safety guidelines including those provided by the Ministry of Health and Wellness and their Pandemic Policy.

“We remind everyone of the importance of wearing facemasks properly, washing & sanitizing hands regularly, practicing social distance, and avoiding being in crowded environments,” said BWS. “Stay safe and let us stop the spread of this deadly virus.”

The water supply company said they know how important clean potable water is and is committed to delivering this essential service.
