Belize Met Service: Fair weather prevails today, more showers expected tomorrow

The National Meteorological Service of Belize (Belize Met Service) says that generally fair weather will prevail today, with an increase in moisture expected on Friday.

The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies today and partly cloudy to cloudy skies tonight. Shower activity will be generally isolated today with outbreaks of showers and isolated thunderstorms expected along coastal and southern areas tomorrow morning.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 94 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 8 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 81 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 75 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be blowing East between 05-15 knots and the sea state will be light chop.

High tide came in at 7:19 a.m. and low tide is expected to occur at 3:05 p.m.

The sun will set at 5:33 p.m. and the moon will rise tomorrow at 3:42 a.m.
