Belize Weather: Weather starts fine before giving way to slight increase in rain

By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service says generally fair weather prevails but there will be an increase in showery activity later today in some areas.

Skies will be sunny with a few cloudy spells today and partly cloudy tonight. Showers or thunderstorms will be isolated but increase over the south tonight.

High temperatures are 90 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 95 degrees over inland areas and 84 in the hills. Tonight it will be 82 degrees along the coast, 75 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly at 5 to 10 knots; sea conditions are slight.

Tides will be low at 11:10 this morning and 10:04 tonight and high at 5:32 this evening. Sunset is at 6:17 this evening and sunrise Tuesday morning is at 5:35.

A tropical wave crossing the country on Tuesday will be responsible for a few showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly over the south.
