Ministry of Health and Wellness: Another Belizean lost to COVID-19

By Benjamin Flowers: Belize mourns another life lost to COVID-19 as the pandemic continues to affect the country.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness reports that the latest death, a male, brings the national total for deaths up to 364.

Deaths related to the virus are now split between 132 females and 232 males.

Belize’s fatality rate has also been adjusted to 2.15.

Belizeans countrywide are encouraged to get vaccinated against the virus, as vaccination reduces the risk of severe symptoms and death to those who contract the virus.
