Belize Weather: Rain to spoil Tenth jam

Posted: Friday, September 10, 2021. 7:16 am CST.

By Aaron Humes: The National Meteorological Service says a tropical wave will keep weather moist and unstable for at least the next 24 to 36 hours.

Skies today and tomorrow will be mostly cloudy to overcast with outbreaks of showers, thunderstorms, and rain over most areas.

High temperatures are 84 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 88 degrees inland, and 78 in the hills. Tonight, temperatures reach 78 degrees along the coast, 72 inland, and 66 in the hills.

Winds are East to southeast at 10 to 20 knots and the sea state is choppy to moderate. A small craft caution is in effect for occasional gusty winds and rough seas and a flood watch is in effect for low-lying and flood-prone areas.

Tides will be high at 12:28 this afternoon and low at 6:22 this evening. The sun sets at 5:58 and rises at 5:40 Saturday morning.

Skies will be cloudy in spells with showery outbreaks decreasing through Saturday.

Our thanks to forecaster Catherine Cumberbatch at the Belize Weather Bureau, Ladyville.
