Mexico’s Foreign Affairs Secretariat invites Belizeans to participate in its “Virtual Race for Migrant Equality”

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Mexico’s Foreign Affairs Secretariat is inviting Belizeans to participate in its “Virtual Race for Migrant Equality” All-Gender and Inclusion of all, which is on right now and ends on November 20.

Mexico’s Foreign Affairs Secretariat said the race is being done through the Institute of Mexicans Abroad (IME) and the Technical Council for Diplomacy and Sports Cooperation, in the framework of the National Program for Equality between Women and Men PROIGUALDAD 2020-2024 [Pro-Equality 2020-2024].

“Virtual Race for Migrant Equality” All-Gender and Inclusion of all is being held in support of the a number of communities including LGBT+; native, indigenous, and Afro-Mexican people and communities; people with disabilities; and women, girls, and adolescents

The virtual race has four distances: 1K, 3K, 5K or 10K. Participants may complete “walking, jogging, hiking, strolling, or whatever you choose”.
