By BBN Staff: Minister of Education and Culture Francis Fonseca said it’s time to part ways with the present National Institute of Culture and History (NICH) president Sapna Budhrani and that a new person will be heading the Belize culture institute.
Fonseca said the next person to head the National Institute of Culture and History (NICH) is expected to understand the present government’s vision on culture and must be able to build back NICH.
Fonseca told the media while he has had a good working relationship with Budhrani but that now it is time to move forward.
Budhrani has been in the post since April 2018 under the past administration. She is presently on vacation and will not have her contract renewed on her return.
Fonseca did not say who is going to get the job.
