Belize Weather: Cold front, Part 2

The National Meteorological Service says a cold front is approaching Belize and will cross the Jewel tonight.

Skies will be cloudy at times for most of the day. Showers and periods of rain will occur offshore and along the southern coast this morning. There will be isolated thunderstorms inland this afternoon and it will be raining again tonight and tomorrow morning along the entire coast and in the south.

High temperatures today are 83 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 86 inland, and 75 in the hills. Tonight it will be 73 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 68 inland, and 63 in the hills.

Winds are from the northwest at 5 to 15 knots and sea state is light chop.

Tides will be high at 10:36 this morning and 9:50 this evening and low at 3:56 this afternoon. The sun will set at 5:19 this evening and will rise at 5:52 Saturday morning.

The extended forecast calls for cloud and cool conditions with showers and or rain offshore and on the southern coast in the morning, then generally decreasing.
