Internationally recognized Edinburgh Napier University (ENU) is holding a second recruitment drive/information session on November 22 in Belize City

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Internationally recognized Edinburgh Napier University (ENU) is having a second recruitment drive/information session on the ENU portfolio of Global Online programmes at the Radisson in Belize City on Monday, November 22, 2021. The first session was held on October 28.

ENU is a university based in Scotland but offers online programmes which allow its students quite a bit of flexibility to complete their bachelors or master’s degree programmes.

“If you are interested in commencing in January 2022, you might benefit from learning more about ENU’s truly innovative MBA and MBM programmes. Completed in a minimum of 18 months, the MBA and MBM can be extended up to a maximum of 4 years, if necessary,” says ENU Senior Academic Advisor Maria Nieto.

“These World Class programmes offer exceptional value at under US$10,000. Students can take advantage of modular ‘pay as you go’ instalments. A special US$200 bursary on the purchase of the first module for any of our programmes will be in place for the January 2022 intake only.”

ENU also said that if prospective students take along a friend or colleague to the recruitment on October 28, both will be eligible for a US$500 bursary if both enroll at the same time.

Andrew Cawley, CEO of Southpoint Education International, ENU representatives in the Americas, will be in person at the Radisson’s Cahal Pech Room from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm on November 22 to meet prospective students.

Cawley says approximately 400 Belizean students are enrolled in ENU, which has 20,000 students at its three campuses in Edinburgh, Scotland, and 6,000 online. Fifty percent of the online population are from the Caribbean.

We have recruited over 4,000 students since 2012 in the Caribbean alone

“We’ve been offering these online programmes since 2012 in Belize. They are recognized by the authorities there. They are accredited programmes,” Cawley said.

“We are the number one modern university in Scotland and the number one for value added, as well, according to The Guardian (British) newspaper.”

ENU is offering a range of new programmes, including BSc Computing (Top-up), BSc Nursing Studies (Top-up), MSc Transport Planning and Engineering, MSc Data Engineering, and Post Graduate Certificate in Career Development.

Cawley’s visit is to recruit students for the January 2022 intake. ENU does three intakes per year. The other two are in May and September.

“You can also learn if you are eligible for the final year of the BA Business Management (Top-up) which is offered with specialisations in Marketing, HRM, Hospitality and Finance as well as the BA Business and Enterprise (Top-up), a more practical Bachelor’s degree for working professionals. BA Marketing Management (Top-up) is aimed at those with Associate degrees and/or significant Supervisory/Management experience in this area,” says ENU.

“Our tuition fees are very attractive,” says Cawley. “Under US$10,000 for a master’s degree and under US$5000 for a bachelor’s degree.”

“That’s for the whole programme. This is another reason why our programmes very popular across the Caribbean. We are realistically pricing them for this region, for Central America and, in fact, they’re a lot cheaper than our US fees. We have a special fee for Central America and the Caribbean. So, the MBA’s are under US$10,000 and the students can pay in installments. So, they pay as they go. And, also, we have a bursary of $200 as well for this upcoming January intake,” Cawley added.

“We get a lot of students interested from Belize in our programs, from public sector and the private sector. Our popular programmes are the MBA. We have a Masters of Business Administration programme with 12 different specializations,” Cawley said.

“We also have what we call Top Up programs. If a student has an associate degree in Business Management or Business Administration, they can join our BA Business Management and earn their bachelor’s degree in one year. So that’s proven very popular in Belize,” Cawley said.

Cawley said that ENU considers work experience as part of entry requirements. This benefits people who have work experience and have decided to go back to school.

Cawley said most Belizeans students are between 30 and 45 years of age.

Cawley said they normally get a good turnout at their recruitment sessions, so you can reserve your place at www.seidegrees.com or calling (1) 239 444 4399. Alternatively, you can LIVE CHAT and ENU’s friendly staff will be happy to assist you.
