One held in businessman Asnaney murder, suspects sought in other recent murders

By Aaron Humes: At a press briefing this morning, Commissioner of Police Chester Williams updated the press in relation to recent murders across the country.

First Commissioner Williams reported that one person has been held in the targeted killing of businessman Anil Asnaney outside Sumathi Restaurant on Baymen Avenue.

The Commissioner said there was no doubt that Asnaney was the target as his wife was only grazed to her chest; the question is why.

Police do not specifically believe Asnaney was followed or monitored and robbery has been ruled out.

One person is being sought in connection with the death of Rueben Cano, shot outside his residence on Pitter Street after being called outside.

And Police are also hunting the killers of Eden Ramos in Dangriga.
