Belize Weather: More showers than sunshine entering weekend

The National Meteorological Service forecasts sunny skies with cloudy spells today and cloudy skies at times tonight.

A few showers or thunderstorms will affect most areas this morning and the north this afternoon, then mostly the south tonight.

High temperatures are 85 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 89 degrees inland and 74 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 76 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 70 degrees inland and 64 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly at 5 to 15 knots and sea state is choppy. A small craft caution is in effect for gusty winds and rough seas near thunderstorms.

Tides will be high at 9:36 this morning and 8:37 tonight and low at 3:37 this afternoon. Sunset is at 5:21 this evening and sunrise on Saturday at 6:16.

Skies will be partly cloudy on Saturday with showers mainly over northern districts, decreasing to isolated activity by evening.
