By Aaron Humes: Belize and El Salvador have opened areas of potential military cooperation after a visit by Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of El Salvador, Graciela Marina Perez, to Minister of National Defence and Border Security, Florencio Marin Jr.
The Minister said he was particularly interested in access to their military academy and military industry.
The possibility of getting a Salvadoran Military Attaché accredited to the El Salvador Embassy was also discussed.
Also present were Oscar Mira, Minister of State, and CEO Brigadier General (Ret’d) Dario Tapia, while accompanying Perez was Xitaly Ochoa Aguiñada, Minister Counselor at the El Salvador Embassy in Belize.
