The coming days will tell for sure, but while there were 1,255 confirmed cases detected over the holiday weekend, there were also 921 recoveries for a net gain of 334.
This limited the rise in active cases to a total of 7,867 with 339 samples under investigation.
Three new deaths were also reported.
In all, Belize is approaching 42 thousand confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic, with a national infection rate of over 10 percent and a national recovery rate of just under 80 percent.
