“We would like to thank the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise for conducting session one (Germination)of the planting series at our farm today,” said YADLIT in a social media post on January 13.
MAFSE said the Toledo Agriculture Department had been assisting YADLIT as part of its outreach programme.
“Thanks to our Agric team in Toledo for assisting YADLIT, a youth development organization. We hope the training goes a long way in assisting young people with fruitful livelihoods,” said MAFSE.
MAFSE said YADLIT’s outreach to young people through the YADLIT Farm includes pig and chicken projects and planting. YADLIT also offer sports and educational programs in an effort to engage the youth in the southernmost district in wholesome activity.
MAFSE said it intends to continue collaborating with the youth organization.
