“Approximately 23 people are left homeless in a fire that destroyed homes. Everything is gone in flames. Nothing was saved. Those babies, kids and adults are left without clothes,” wrote Mes.
“I would like to urge those of you, friends and friends of friends to help in donations. Things that are needed the following: Baby pampers, Kids clothes (males and females), Adult clothes (males and females), Food items can and others, Stoves (tabletop stoves can also work), Butane tanks, Mattresses, Blankets, Pillows, Monetary donations will be accepted. Additionally, Kenny Cal of KC Bus Line said they must help the families.
“It’s sad to be in this situation … 6 homes were destroyed by fire today in my village. The family lost everything. They saved nothing … all I am asking for us as villagers to join together and help these families … we need clothing for the family, as all of their personal belongings have been destroyed,” he posted on Tuesday night.
“We have to plan to begin working on building a house for the family as of tomorrow [meaning Wednesday]. I ask for those individuals who will or are available tomorrow to please join us as we help the family. We gather by Mr. Juan Sub house lot at 7:00 am tomorrow. Please let’s get as much people to help. It’s urgent!
“Any of my friends, businesses or any organization willing to help the family, feel free to contact us,” said Cal who also thanked BEL for reestablishing the electric supply.
In another post on Wednesday, Cal said his bus would be passing by Placencia and nearby villages for people who want to contribute.
“Anyone around Placencia and the villages along the road coming down to Red Bank wanting to support the family in anything, my bus KC Bus Line will be leaving Placencia at 4:00 pm in the afternoon.
