Belize City man avoids shooting but overturns vehicle

By Aaron Humes: Police are said to be investigating a reported shooting incident in Belize City on Monday night.

One Patrick Jones stated that he was driving his black Ford-F150 truck on Mopan Street heading towards the Backatown area. As he passed the “Plum Tree” area, a reported hangout spot for the Ghost Town Gang, he heard several shots fired, apparently at his vehicle.

Jones stated that he took cover and lost control of his vehicle, causing it to overturn.

According to Jones, however, he did not see who fired shots at him. Police investigations continue.
