By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Women’s National Football Team (BWNT) is playing the second of two friendly matches on Thursday, March 17, in Morales, Department of Izabal, in Guatemala.

Today’s match is at 3 pm at the Estadio María Mena in Morales against El Estor, said the FFB.

On Tuesday, the BWNT fell 3-2 to Moralense. Alisha Terry scored both goals for the BWNT.

The BWNT is preparing for their upcoming games in the Concacaf Women’s World Cup Qualifiers. Belize is to play Aruba on Wednesday, April 6, in Belize and against Barbados on Tuesday, April 12, in the Dominican Republic.

Unfortunately, since the BWNT lost their first two matches in the World Cup Qualifiers 0-6 against El Salvador and 0-8 against Panama, they no longer have any hope of qualifying to the next round. Despite the situation, the games must be played and do provide the BWNT with an opportunity to improve their level.
