By Aaron Humes: The Ministry of Health and Wellness reports just twelve new cases of COVID-19 today, about half as many as yesterday, Wednesday.

Twice as many persons – 24 – were reported recovered countrywide.

On this the second anniversary of the COVID-19 pandemic’s arrival in Belize, there are currently 285 active cases of the disease and another 45 samples under investigation.

Overall, Belize has had 57,203 cases of COVID-19, of which 56,218 or 98.3 percent have recovered and 654 have died. No new deaths were reported today.
