The Football Federation of Belize didn’t programme any games in the FFB Top League Closing Championship for this weekend because the Belize Men’s National Football Team (BMNT) will play against Cuba on Sunday.

During this FIFA window national teams are involved in the World Cup qualifiers and many of those that are not playing qualifiers, play friendly matches. In Belize’s case, the BMNT is preparing for the Concacaf Nations League, hence the friendly.

The FFB Top League Closing Championship returns next week with three matches. In the battle between the second and third place teams, the San Pedro Pirates visit Altitude FC at the Michael Ashcroft Stadium in Independence on Saturday, April 2 at 6:30 pm. Then on Sunday, April 3, two matches play at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan. In the first game at 4:00 pm, last place Caesar Ridge FC challenge leaders Verdes FC at 4:00 pm while in the second, Wagiya match up against Garden City at 6:30 pm.

However, the National Amateur Women’s League A and B divisions will continue their championships this weekend.
