18 riders to compete in the 21st Men’s Junior Cross Country on Sunday, April 3

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Cycling Federation of Belize (CFB) has confirmed that 18 riders will compete in the 21st Annual BEL Men’s Junior Cross Country Classic being held under the regulations of the International Cycling Union on Sunday, April 3.

G-Flow’s is competing with Junior riders Renan Codd and Jamar Murry.

The Chavarria Cycling Team comprises Tyler Tejeda, Christopher Waight, and Richard Rosado.

C-Ray D Banner team features Goran Gabourel.

The Cayo Cycling Team is represented by Khalil Gentle.

Ramon Codd, who is also from Cayo, is riding independently but should get servicing from the Cayo Cycling Team.

The Cycling Federation said there are four ‘unattached’ riders from Orange Walk, namely Brandon Guerra, Evrit Matute Jr., Mark Bowman Jr, and Jaylen Briceño,

Six Belize District cyclists are riding ‘unattached’: Elwin Humes, Travis Grinage, Hubert Grinage, Shane Marin Jr., Alvin Perdomo, and Delton Rojas.

The CFB said the 74-mile race starts at the Ferry in San Jose Succotz Village in the Cayo District at 9:00 a.m.

From there it heads on the George Price Highway to San Ignacio-Santa Elena passing through the Joseph Andrews Drive, over the new bridge, to La Loma Luz roundabout coming out to the George Price Highway then all the way to Belize City.

At the Faber’s Road roundabout, the riders will make a left turn to Lake Independence Boulevard and Chetumal Street, turning right to the Philip Goldson Highway to the Pallotti roundabout, unto Princess Margaret Drive for the finish in front of the Marion Jones Sports Complex.

The Cycling Federation of Belize said it will live stream the 21st Men’s Junior Cross Country as of 9:00 am.
