Another gas price increase sneaked past Belizeans; premium gas almost at $15

By Benjamin Flowers: There has been another unannounced increase in the price of fuel.

Breaking Belize News (BBN) has confirmed that at midnight last night, the price of premium fuel went up by 45 cents from $14.37 to $14.82.

The price of all other fuel types remains unchanged.

Estimates are that this is the 11th fuel adjustment for the year and the second for the month of April; however, we note that with the Government of Belize (GOB) not announcing these changes, it has become difficult to track the number of price adjustments with accuracy.

Earlier this year, Prime Minister John Briceño said that GOB was not withholding the information from the public, as they would be informed of the change in price the next time they go to the pump.
