By Rubén Morales Iglesias: “The Belize City Council extends a big THANK YOU to all the businesses and residents who came out to support the RETURN OF THE SUPER SALE with our Mother’s Day Edition this past weekend!” said the Belize City Council.

The Belize City Council started the Super Sale initiative downtown Belize City in 2018 and says that they are satisfied with the “consistent growth and economic impact” it had before the COVID-19 pandemic and now that it has been resumed. Other communities have emulated the super sale concept and are doing quite well.

“What was once a sale zone with 20 businesses has grown to approximately 100 businesses this time around,” said the Belize City Council.

“This would not be possible without the support and cooperation of the participating businesses, Mayor Bernard Wagner, and our Belize City Council team which includes our Youth Shadow Council.”

The Belize City Council said the ‘Downtown Area Revival’ will continue and they are already planning the Back to School Edition of the Super Sale.

“Look out for more deals, more giveaways, more food, and more fun with us,” said the Belize City Council.
