American killed in a motorcycle crash on Placencia Road

By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash on the Placencia Road on Friday morning.

One Bruce Wayne Burkhardt, 71, an American national from Dallas, Texas, was driving a red and white Honlie motorcycle between Miles 17 and 18 on the Placencia Road around 9:30 a.m., heading for Maya Beach, when according to police he cross the bump at Blue Crab and lost control.

Burkhardt, police confirm, fell off the motorcycle and apparently died on impact.
