Motorcycle accident on Southern Highway claims life of 21-year-old Police Constable Kevin Ack

By Hugh O’Brien: A motorcycle accident that occurred on the Southern Highway has claimed the life of 21-year-old Police Constable (PC) Kevin Ack.

According to police they responded to a scene between miles 35 and 36 on the Southern Highway, where they observed a black motorcycle on the side of the road and about 19 feet away, they saw an injured PC Ack bleeding from the mouth and ears.

Initial investigations reveal that Kevin Ack was travelling from the San Juan towards Independence Village when he lost control of his motorcycle between miles 35 and 36 causing him to fall and receive the head and body injuries.

Ack was rushed to the Independence Poly Clinic and later transported to the Southern Regional Hospital.

Sometime before midnight, PC Kevin Ack succumbed to his injures.

PC Kevin Ack was attached to Police’s Intermediate Southern Formation based in Independence Village, Stann Creek.
