By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Día de San Pedro Festival on Saturday, June 25, will feature popular Mexican singer Pedro Fernández at the Saca Chispas Field in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, said the San Pedro Town Council.

Pedro Fernández, also known as Pedrito Fernández since he sang the popular ‘Niña de la Mochila Azul’ song and acted in the movie by the same name when he was a child, is also an actor and television host and has appeared in several movies and telenovelas (TV soap operas).

In 2001, he won the Latin Grammy Award for his music album ‘Yo no fui’ in the Best Ranchero Album category. Then in 2010 again won a Latin Grammy for Best Regional Mexican Song for ‘Amarte a la Antigua’.

The San Pedro Town Council said tickets are now available via the San Pedro Town Council website and at the Council’s offices.
