Remnants of Agatha to produce heavy rainfalls; flood watch in effect in Belize

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The National Hurricane Center (NHC) informs us that the remnants of Hurricane Agatha are expected to produce heavy rainfall across Southeastern Mexico during the next few days.

There is the possibility of life-threatening flash floods and mudslides.

The National Meteorological Service of Belize noted that showers, periods of rain, and thunderstorms will increase across Belize tonight.

A flood watch is in effect for the possibility of flooding over low-lying and flood-prone areas.

Forecasters are also closely monitoring the remnants of Agatha that could contribute to the development of a system in the Atlantic.
